I'm asking why the cops had to be so aggressive over shoplifting when they're in prime position to get all the info they need to follow up on this non-violent misdemeanor later. All cops know how to do is escalate, and it gets people killed over bad decisions that otherwise wouldn't have hurt anyone. It isn't aggressive to stand there and ask for her to leave the car. Logically, the cop didn't need to stand directly in front of the car and could have moved a few feet back(No idea if he did as much). But there is NO SITUATION where you should be running over another human being.
