TopicEven if it's wrong the way we shut down "anti-vax" rhetoric is scary

It's sad seeing the replies ITT and knowing these people are almost all older than me.

OP, there's no way to "shut down" anti-vax rhetoric because they've dug their heels too far into the dirt and refuse to budge. In typical my-personality-revolves-politics fashion, they put on the faade of a concerned citizen only looking out for your best interests, softly guiding you by the hand toward a more peaceful existence and away from dangers that they can see but you can't. Are they actually looking out for you? Of course not. They want you to join their side and bark the same things they do at those they've deemed the opposition. If they were sincerely, truly, authentically and wholeheartedly doing this out of the goodness of their hearts, they wouldn't take pride in their "pure blood" self-proclamation. That's how they see you: mudblood, impure, tainted. Make no mistake: they want the vaccines to be dangerous and want every single instance of someone passing out or experiencing a medical emergency to be caused by the vaccine that person got 3 years ago (and not the billions of chemicals that person has ingested since then) so they can validate the isolation and ostracization they brought upon themselves. You can't and won't change their minds because they place a greater importance on the indoctrination they've had shoved down their gullets over on anything you could say, do, or convey.
