Its impossible. Reloaded and attacked Nere before initiating the cinematic dialogue (where the gnome gets shoved) and the gnome just straight up dies automatically lol. Nere didn't even touch her I think.

That scene is just weird, because you just stand there and give him a disapproving look while he murders the gnome. You can't tell him to cut that shit out until he's already done it.

I also tried to save the gnome by attacking Nere early once, and on top of not being able to save her, it also aggroed all the dwarves, including the ones who I was allied with against Nere.
