"the bosses have too much health!" is the main complaint. It shows they have no grasp on the battle mechanics and aren't experimenting with Artes combos. Same thing is currently happening on the FF16 board, people complaining Clive's kit is too shallow. If you play it right you barely have enough time to pop a potion before going into another ability chain.
The bosses can't be staggered for combos so the best option is to just spam single hitting artes that are fast and do a lot of damage. What's the point of doing combos on a boss if they can't be combo'd when you can just spam Reigning Slash. The battle system is fun as hell on normal enemies but the boss fights suck. So the high HP on them is pointless and boring.

Xillia 2 and Graces f did it right where if you knew how to play you could kill a boss in one combo but they moved away from that.
