The reason Einstein doesn't talk to Strauss as he passes by him is because he's busy thinking about what Oppie just said and what it could lead to, however Strauss took it as Oppie telling Ein "lol man fuck that guy Strauss, he ain't no scientist. He's just a bitch. Let's get all the physicists to revolt against him?" just because he and Ein casually had conversations.
