Well, he wasn't all that stellar in the last few books he wrote for the series. They were all pretty much filler books that hardly moved the story anywhere until Sanderson took over after his death. Pages and pages filled with how large the bosoms of certain Aes Sedai were and detailed descriptions of their dresses.

The first 4-5 were as good as anything I have read....the last few were slogs.

I disagree about 7-10, but U think his last book, Knufe of Dreams, is one of the best in the series.

The things people typically criticize the slog for slow burn political intrigue and character work are things that series like ASOIAF and Realm of the Elderlings are praised for, so Ive never understood that.

At any rate, the point youre trying to make would only be relevant when they got to that point in the story. Based on the portion theyve covered, their version is inarguably worse.
