Today, a lot of people are jerks who justify being dicks by pulling a, "Well, at least I'm not bigoted." If you don't give a fuck about what happens to other people, a world where people are kinder to their own is preferable to a world where everyone is a jerk. If you care about what happens to other people, you're probably better off in an asshole generation than one run by bigots.
