It will shoot you and the only you can win is to have more health/lives in reserve than it has. A boss fight is supposed to be a test of skills acquired throughout a mission or else it's supposed to teach you new strategies through trial and error. You're supposed to watch for patterns and look for openings. All this boss fight does is measure to see if you've conserved enough lives and powerful weapons to trade shots with it and win.
