If I were to guess, the Original Trainer hunted for a shiny Impidimp that had a Calm nature and just used a mint to change its stats to something preferable. Mints don't physically change the nature of the pokemon, they just change stats to reflect a different nature. eg. giving it an Adamant mint will give it +Atk and -SpAtk, but its nature will still say calm. GameFreak probably didn't/can't check for its mint when creating the data to distribute the pokemon.
