This might not have made much of an impact in a bubble, but imo the show had a lot of external factors working against it: the hype it built up at the beginning (some people were claiming it to be the MCU's Andor) the history of MCU D+ shows starting strong and tripping at the finish line the pedigree of Samuel L.
