I was referring to characters anyone actually gave a fuck about rather than just more characters. It was the entire point of the comic they're basing this on.

There is no point to doing a "spy/mystery" show if the mystery is clear beyond the first episode. The entire draw of a show like this is the intrigue and that practically vanished when Hill hit the pavement.
The biggest mystery this show had that actually worked was whether or not Fury's wife was actually on his side or not. And that mystery revolved around a character most people don't seem to care for judging by past episode topics.
