It's not my genre... but I think there's more nuance to what mumble rap is than that. There's a lot of depth and history to rap genres that most people don't give them credit for.

I only have a fraction of an idea after having my hand held through the history of some of it because of NPR's Louder Than a Riot. It's certainly given me a greater appreciation and understanding of the art form even if I don't enjoy listening to it.

But this probably isn't the thread to parse those distinctions.
