Yeah I've actually noticed how the story seems to bounce back-and-forth between "Travel in the realm is nearly instantaneous" and "Actually it takes a week to get anywhere" depending on what's convenient at the moment. The whole sequence of events from after the boss fight in Kanver to when you return to the Hideaway after ~~Clive finally hits it~~ make absolutely zero sense from a passage of time perspective. I'll attest to that.
