Well, "you" (the average person) may know it's a thing because Republicans lost their minds over it and even politicians started railing against them, to the point of saying it was some "marketing campaign targeting children" because Dylan is trans and Gen z & younger are the most open-minded to accepting transpeople, therefore to them trans support = trying to get to children.
