They do deserve this, they were a big part of the gay bar community, and thus a big part of the gay community, and they threw away that whole clientele cause of some whiny fascists pissy over a single special can given to a transwoman, they weren't even selling bottles with her face on it. And part of their response was firing everybody in marketing who was part of that. Anybody who gives into the fascists deserves to go out of business. Prismsblade posted... I was curious why budlight seemed to be getting alot more heat then most other brands in this regard and it may be due to timing. Right-wingers started trying to "cancel" (curious how this term is never ascribed to right-wing boycotts) them because they made a single special bottle for a transwoman influencer, they weren't even like selling or distributing these bottles. In order to appease these bigots, they fired everybody in the marketing team responsible for it and made this obscene fellatio-esque apology. Well, bud light has actually been a big part of the gay community for decades due to being a staple in gay bars and so the LGBTQ community along with their allies are now boycotting Bud Light, along with the right-wingers who clearly weren't satiated with BL's firing and apology. The prudent business move would to have been to just give up on the bigots, because now they've pissed off both sides of the aisle and are noticeably suffering.
