Like I said I meant more in terms of behavior than views, e.g. how Clinton's impeachment went over at the time. Plus I'm speaking more historically (well broadly speaking within the past few decades), so not much to do with current events. I also said myself earlier that I doubt the Republican nominee is going to win with how much bad publicity the party as a whole has gotten the past few years, so I'm clearly aware of their current problems and yeah from that standpoint I didn't think about how what I said would come across.
