If a sentence falls within sentencing guidelines and was a fair trial, then the government shouldnt be able to go, Well actually, we want them in there longer.

It just seems wrong. The trial was held, they were convicted and sentenced. Where do we draw the line? You serve your sentence without issue and are expected to be released on time. Some prosecutors petitions to keep you in longer because they feel like you werent in there long enough.

I feel like this already happens enough as is, especially for Black defendants.
