Pretty much, yeah. Your build is generally going to be *the* thing that makes you successful or not (well, that and your team's in general... this is a party-based game after all) and your Mythic Path basically completely dumps on the balance if you want it to (and choose what you choose based on flavor, not because you want something OP... they're *all* OP and generally all work with most builds). Don't just skip sidequests, mind you, but don't really expect to be constantly on the look for OP gear from them. This is a story-based game and that is what is going to matter in the long run, and many of the quests will have long-reaching consequences that matter far more than the trinkets that you happen to get from them.
