I'd say the intro was the stuff showing young Clive and Joshua up to the title drop, then after that an extended segment to get you used to the gameplay structure before settling you in and introducing more stuff to do. I'm used to RPGs taking a while to introduce all the gameplay elements thanks to Xenoblade.
