*Digital distribution is fine as an option and it makes sense why it's all but mandatory for PC gaming but console gaming ahold not be digital only
*Visual effects should have more colors than hot white. I don't give a rat's furry dingleberried ass if it's realistic it looks like shit and shouldn't be in games that don't use a photo realistic style.
*Video gaming needs an out of home side to the experience more than what we have now. Nothing's special if you have access to everything at home.

*Manuals should still have a place for current games
*Gaming should have more cultures in it besides the west and Japan
*Cover based shooters are unfun especially if they have hitscan mechanics
*Turn-based RPGs can work with modern consoles but there needs to be the illusion of movement. Having your party and the enemies just stand in place looks dumb outside of srpgs of course

Since the ubiquity of broadband, complete physical copies havent really been much of a thing for PS and Xbox. In many if not most cases, the disc is just a partial installer, and you have to download the rest of the game, so youll be in the same boat as digital buyers in a few decades if the servers are down. The days of put the disc in and play are long gone.

Really, in terms of game preservation, always online is the death knell, pretty much. Those authentication servers will not be up forever.
