Project Director Allan McDonald tried to prevent the disaster, but ended up having his career and his reputation ruined for trying to do the right thing. NASA definitely has blood on their hands. Crazy to think they planned to send Carrol Spinney on that shuttle. Fortunately, the potential difficulty of wearing the Big Bird costume on board saved him. --- "But who prays for Satan?
