This was pretty much a BTB legal search warrant where no one was injured. And it's precisely that it was BTB that makes it the problem.

There is no defending the Floyd notice. They either willfully lied or made zero effort to obtain details. That statement itself was only made because that shit was recorded and posted everywhere on the internet. As you said, these things take a long time. The fact that it was out in minutes means it was damage control.
