The difference is that all of those cards are basically "If, then" statements and Ongoing cards are "Always". But most of the cards could easily be one or the other and it seems like there's no rhyme or reason. Collector only gets power if he's on the board when you add cards to your hand. But Morbius just looks at the total number of discarded cards and gives you power regardless. Why couldn't Collector be: "Ongoing: +1 power for each card you've added to your hand that didn't start in your deck" IDK! If thats what Collectors text said, you couldnt use Valkyrie or Shadow King to counter him.
