That's the problem with these movie-type games. The more you try to revisit them the more pointless timewasters start showing themselves. You know the plot so the boring walking exposition scenes just become a waste of time. You're not wowed by the environments so the "hold up to climb" sections just become a waste of time.

There's also not much to go back to. The combat isn't deep enough and character progression isn't diverse enough to warrant going back through the game to try out a new build or something.

I'm not a big fan of BoTW, but I do like Elden Ring, and its clear why these games stick around for so long

-They respect the player's time and let them get to the good bits
-A lot more depth to sink your teeth into, whether that's BOTW's open world or Elden Ring's combat
-Variety and player personalisation. It's my adventure through Elden Ring, not my viewing of a script.
"Movie-type games" aren't the only ones that aren't talked about for years.

Are people talking about Doom II or Half-Life all the time anymore? Most people don't play any type of singleplayer game over and over for years.

Unless it's literally a discussion about your favorite games all time, 99.99% of games drop out of the public consciousness.
