God I made the mistake of reading farther and this topic is just full of men complaining about women having it too good. Its like incel central in here.

Nobody is pretending fat men arent insulted or treated worse: fat shaming is a problem for everyone and unrealistic body standards hurt men too. Its a matter of degree; on average, fat men are more acceptable to society than fat women and face less harassment.

The fact a contingent of society has managed to somewhat push female bodily standards towards being thicc being desirable doesnt change that. You have to be a certain type of body for that to apply to you, and then youre just getting harassed a different way. And still get called fat by others. Its just another way to objectify women, in the end, that some women have tried to make empowering.
