What are your reservation about this offer? I'd think it would be a clear winner considering your current job.

It's not competing with my current job, but rather with other jobs I expect to get accepted to. One in particular, which is in industry and is paid accordingly. The work I'd be doing in that job would be somewhat more interesting too.

What this job has going for it is the chance to do research in a field that does genuinely not only interest me but also gives me the opportunity to make a difference, home office and the fact that I'd be somewhere with a really low cost of living for the next five years at least. Plus the employer has a really good reputation, which would look great on my CV

Of course, I'd have to wait until I get an offer from the other place, which won't be until after I've visited them in slightly under a month
