Ok I'm gonna need you to explain to me how a $500 ballpoint pen is in any way an upgrade over a Bic that you can get in a pack of 20 for $5, unless you really want to show off how bad with money you are

I never said it was worth it, thats for individuals to determine. I never write so its not worth it to me. This example was taken from a thread where people got mad that AOC spent money on a nice pen for taking notes instead of just getting a bic. Nicer pens write smoother Im sure, and if youre job involves writing notes all day it might be worth it

Expensive shit breaks just as easily as the cheap shit, is what they say to justify it. Maybe if they treated their expensive shit better growing up, their parents wouldn't have only gotten them cheap shit by brainwashing them like this.

Oh you almost had me angry at the start lol. Yeah nicer stuff tends to be more sustainable. My custom made Goodyear welted shoes can very well last me rest of my life

I'd like to point out, more expensive does not always mean better.

It can vary depending on needs (quartz vs automatic watches) but the argument in the topic was different which it usually isthink there usually is a strong correlation with better tho
