Re: "Whatever my partner thinks is cheating", I think there would be things that a partner might say they consider "cheating" that I wouldn't do to respect their wishes, but still wouldn't consider to be cheating.

Like if someone told me their girlfriend cheated on them and when pressed for details said "She watched a movie with an actor who she said is more attractive than me", I don't really care if he implied some standard for cheating that included that.
