| KCF0107 05/26/23 6:24:51 PM #161: | AI trade just before preseason Commanders receive: CB Charles Ferris (82 overall, 29 years old) WR Pat Andersen (77, 24) Raiders receive: WR Mack Bowden (77, 23) CB Ken Crawley (76, 26) I did this in the game and forgot to write down contract details for Commanders. Both teams incur under $1 mil cap penalties, and most importantly for the Raiders, they get under the cap. Commanders had a ton of cap space and could afford to absorb more. They get a CB in Ferris who will push for a starting job or at least be a high-end slot corner, and they just had to get rid of their current slot corner and #4 WR. Raiders do a good job at getting decent talent back at good contract figures as they had few options without doing a bunch of transactions to get under the cap. This allows them to get 1st rounder CB Levi Wallace some immediate playing time in the slot too. Raiders understood trade parameters, financial impact, player histories, and what both teams hoped to achieve.
