sorry to hear that, Mega. how old is the freezer? could it be the wiring getting old? the house I'm in has had work on this and that but it still has problems because of a deeper wiring problem.
We got this thing last year; approaching a year of having it. A repairman found that there was some curved pipe in there that was useless without pump, so no idea why it was in there. It was just causing ice build-up and messing with some sensor, but he was supposed to have fixed it.

If I'm not mistaken most freezers have a defroster. That might be going bad and is allowing ice to build up around the fan.
No defrost function I can see. Only controls I can find are to adjust the fridge and freezer temperatures (freezer is on six degrees; the highest), and to do a turbo cool, which is the complete opposite of what I want.

Also, some dude out back is drilling something, which is making a kind of clattering noise. With all the other shit going on, I thought our running dishwasher was also starting to malfunction.
