Betting Odds for top 10

1) Mob Psycho 100 - 11/2 - Mob made the finals in something of an upset, it's currently essentially replicating the run it had at the time.
Start off as a low end priority that keeps escaping late, but then it picks up more and more people. Last time it had no chance against Death Note.
After Season 3? I think the show's quality is now firmly established and I'd favour it against a number of other series.

2) Steins;Gate - 7/1 - I think if it makes the finals, only DBZ beats it head to head. It's one of the standout shows of the decade. Top tier protag, great shipping, memeable clips, been watched by many, lot going for it.
But S;G always suffers from having savers on the more casual side of things. It was enough to land 3rd last go around and I can easily see it make the finals if things break right.
That and I almost always predict S;G to win it all at the start of the contest.

3) Dragon Ball Z - 8/1 - If DBZ makes the finals I think it wins, we're due a shonen win. The last victory for the demo came via Death Note.
DBZ would certainly be the most well know series to ever make the final. The only issue with it like S;G is that not everyone trades for it.
So it might drop out just due to lack of activity on that front.

4) Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann - 17/2 - Best chance we have at a Mecha show winning one of these. Yeah Code Geass landed 3rd, but it's not done anything since.
TTGL has killer eps, hype catchphrases with a super OST. If some of the other candidates trip up I can see it gaining momentum.

5) Kaguya-sama: Love Is War - 12/1 - Not performing as well as I was expecting by this stage. Are Rom Coms falling out of favour? They still haven't captured a proper win.
Haruhi has a lot of shipping, but I wouldn't call it a Rom Com. Kaguya's had years of strong showings, but it's been choking in these later rounds.
Season 3 was great and ended on a high, then you had the movie. This is about as good as it gets, because if they adapt anything else, you start covering weaker arcs.

6) Odd Taxi - 12/1 - Surprise hit of last year, was it a fluke? Apparently not. It's nice self contained Film Noir story with a good payoff. It also led to a number of people picking it up so if anything, it might be a stronger candidate than last year.
I've got it bottom half though, because I think too many potential finals opponent might be too difficult to ovewrcome.

7) Monogatari - 25/1 - The Monogatari script has been the same for a few years now. Does well through top 20, but then it runs into the problem where most people don't watch past the first few eps of Nisemonogatari.
the series has become somewhat of a mess to follow with confusing titles, debated watch orders and you gotta go through a lot of content to get the full experience.
It's a bit much to ask someone to commit and on top of that I don't even know if we have a streaming platform that shows everything.

8) Fate/Zero - 25/1 - I can no longer think about Fate without thinking Gacha.

9) Mushishi - 28/1 - Those sure are some consistently highly rated series you got there. As noted Mushishi has had some good runs in the past, but this is the first top 10 appearance for it.
I don't doubt the quality of the show one bit, but have enough people seen the show to carry to victory in a final?

10) Baccano - 28/1 - I just don't see a repeat winner happening. Still think Baccano can get very close to the finals, but it's a fairly stacked field of series that have gotten close before but fell short.

Haven't seen enough Mushishi eps to rank it fairly, tbh there's not one show left that I don't like. Good slate this year.
