All in the Family episodes typically revolved around Archie saying something stupid, the entire family arguing about why he's an idiot (usually except for Edith), and then something happening at the end of the episode demonstrating why Archie was wrong. Matt and Trey instead use their show to galvanize their libertarian views and present them in a way that tricks impressionable people into agreeing with them, no matter how harmful they may actually be.
