I agree with that. And I also feel like if you take a comedic approach to non comedic atmosphere and then try to fall back on "it's just jokes", you're the one being a douche and dumb. But when you go to a place literally called "Comedy Central" and act like it should be held by high politically correct standards, you're just being silly. Just coming to this board shows Im fine with things being politically correct in group settings where it's not just all fun and games chatting. But don't go to a place advertising comedy and treat it as having higher meaning than comedy. Same thing as going to a stand up show and acting like the comedian is taking a hard stance on issues.

Dave Chappelle walked away from Chappelles show because he said people were laughing at him and not with him.

Kramer tried to claim him calling people the N-word in his tirade was his attempt at "shock comedy".

Comedy is not above criticism and being offensive for the sake of being offensive doesn't give something a pass.

I dont care if its on comedy central or something on tik tok. Dark Comedy has to be nuanced and done with tact and if someone is saying stupid shit whether its 20 years ago or today its liable to be picked apart.
