not sure how it works in your industry, but where i work, no one's going to hand you a raise as a surprise. this isn't the movies. you're not some prodigy star in some tv show who will get praised and given more money spontaneously. i can't imagine many companies would do this without some sort of actual reason, such as giving you more responsibility, or expecting something from you.

it's up to you to get your money. no one's holding your hand here. you want more? then ask for more, work for more, negotiate for more. you have to be active on it and make sure you're always up to date. otherwise you're just going to get what you get. and if that remains the same over the years while everyone goes up, that's something you should work on solving.
