broccoli was on sale and was 1/2 the cost of cauliflower, so i made my rice n beans recipe with that instead. i love broccoli, but it was a bit too 'strong' of a taste, won't do again. gonna try a scrambled block of tofu next time, i think.

adding the tofu worked out nicely. $2.49 for a block and all I did was press it, then dropped it into the skillet along with the onion + pepper, breaking it up into crumbles with a spoon. it absorbed the spices nicely and makes the meal a bit more filling. will probably continue to do this.
