You don't have to start the fight, that is the one thing that makes you no better than your enemy. But the moment they decide that they are going to go after people, to literally try and get people killed, said people are absolutely justified in doing whatever they have to do to defend themselves.

This is all true. But like I said, doxxing him is not going to hurt his or his allies' goals. It's not about the moral high ground, I very much do not care about that and I frankly believe he and his allies deserve to be imprisoned for expressing and seeking to fulfill their political beliefs (they won't be, as their political ideology is currently protected by the dominant political system of liberalism). The simple fact is that it wouldn't help to swat him, and may even be harmful, and that is the only reason not to do it (and also why I believe it was one of his own circle who did it, if it actually occurred). He deserves precious little ethical concerns over his own person, because he scarcely is one.
