For using just a little over half your available nomination time, I think you had a surprisingly varied set. Just comparing your two highest rated songs: One is a dark, grungy, rusted twist on a popular song & the other is pure joy, delivered by a gravelly voiced Russian. I don't think anyone else's top two gave such wildly different experiences, even among those who were trying to give incredibly different songs. You also somehow managed to get a Christian rock song partially about the holocaust into the "really like" tier--it was a great song and I applaud the decision to take a shot on it. Also, pretty nice to get Blue Flowers in so it could get it an official score & to see Deafheaven return to the topic series after a several year absence.

(First Reaction: I do still like songs about destroyed friendships. "You had every chance, you destroyed everything that you know" is a pretty great line. Nice pop beat and some nice anger in the lyrics, pretty good song.)

!I love the lyrics here, even more so than I originally did, but I've soured a bit on the song itself... not much, but enough that it's going down to "mid-50's" from the "high-50's".

[Final Thoughts: Some fantastic lyrics in this song, but like so many other songs in this part of the list, I'm never able to fully resonate with them as much as I should. Not entirely sure why, but I only kinda like this, even though it seems like something that should be much further up the charts than it is.]
