If you are only pulling 10 rings at once then entering a chapter with 30 enemies on the screen, you are burning 30 RNs. Which means if Olwen S was RN 17, you'll just completely miss it. Your average chapter has 20-40 enemies so odds are you'll be losing some RNs.

When I suggested doing only 10, it was based on the arena method before I knew the other method of wasting RN's existed. With the "go into a chapter/paralogue and then exit" method of wasting RN's, I would recommend just taking the number of enemies on the map (and therefore the number of RN's wasted) and rounding it up to the nearest 10, and that would be the number of pulls you do on each reset. That way you spend the least amount of bond fragments but still check every RN along the way. That method would only need like 3k or 4k bond fragments which is very doable early-game.
