I grew up in a Southern Baptist community and our job was to go out into the city and recruit others to join our "Christian camps" to attempt to convert them. One of our talks was about Harry Potter and it started off like this. Speaker: "So how many of you boys and girls plan on reading or watching Harry Potter?" All the kids in the crowd: "Yeah!" Speaker: "Well then you're all going to burn in hell for participating in that witchcraft." Kids: *awkward silence* Then the speaker goes on a heavy rant about why he can't understand why kids would prefer to read something Satanic as Harry Potter but not something wholesome and good like the Bible. It was a surreal experience and something I laugh with my childhood friends about. --- DI MOLTO! ... Copied to Clipboard! |
