US-China espionage is a very open secret, and only the most serious threats are ever acted upon because employing violence to deal with more minor threats would be diplomatically unwise. This balloon is less a serious espionage threat and more a little bit of nationalistic dick-waving. The only thing genuinely at stake is the egos of those involved, and the fact that you seem to be personally offended by it says a lot about your priorities. --- This is my signature.
