Topic | Should bodily autonomy be a human right? |
DrizztLink 01/27/23 2:42:34 AM #10: | Glob posted... The bottom line is a stretch. I understand the sentiment, but it is literally part of the states purpose to determine how it is acceptable to live our lives. Thats how we get rule of law. Be being part of a society you sacrifice certain freedoms (extreme examples being stuff like the freedom to kill people)You're not quite on the main point. Those sacrificed freedoms (killing, assault, etc) are freedoms that infringe on bodily autonomy, just on a personal rather than societal level. They mean issues like suicide, assisted suicide, drug legality, things that ultimately only have physical effects on the person doing it. --- http://guidesmedia.ign.com/guides/9846/images/slowpoke.gif https://i.imgur.com/M8h2ATe.png https://i.imgur.com/6ezFwG1.png ...
