Dracozolt, Dracovish, Arctozolt, and Actovish: Fucking 11/10 idea to take those 1800s fossils that early paleontologists had no idea what to do with and assembled at random and turn that into pokemon. You can so easily see how the pokemon are "supposed" to look and how an incompetent fossil restorer screws it up. A fish's head being put on backwards is funny, but the true star of the show is Dracovish. Assembling a fish's head onto a reptile's tail, and then the midsection just abruptly cuts off, and they call it done? Brilliant. I haven't watched the anime in forever, I'm curious how the anime handles this.

Herman Cain Quotes Pokemon 2000: I really like how he tries to avoid admitting the Pokemon movie said this, and says he doesn't know where it originally came from. He was called out on plagiarism immediately, but he just kept saying the quote. It's not even that good of a quote! You don't really need it for your campaign! But I mean, really, here's the thing. There is no way Herman Cain has seen Pokemon 2000, and if he did, there's no way he'd remember a quote verbatim. This has to be the work of a speechwriter in their 30s, right? Who either plagiarized the movie or was doing a joke that they thought no one would catch, but that instead everyone caught. Like, I can believe that Hillary Clinton heard the words "Pokemon Go" in reference to something young people are doing and tried to make a joke out of it, but I cannot believe that Herman Cain saw and remembered this movie. The idea of this big important man worth millions of dollars in the middle of his presidential campaign quoting a movie that heavily features Tracey Sketchitt is the funniest thing ever, the only reason it's below Pokemon Go to the Polls is that Herman Cain isn't as famous as Hillary Clinton, so him making a fool out of himself isn't as funny. Like, no matter your politics, you have to at least admit that Donald Trump has yet to embarrass himself in a Pokemon-related context.

Fossils: Conceptually, fossil pokemon are an A++ idea. Like, it's obviously just a ripoff of Jurassic Park, but that's fine. The idea of bringing back extinct pokemon among 'normal' modern pokemon, forming a contrast of modern and unthinkably ancient, is such a cool idea. The problem is that it's always a giant pain in the ass to get them. Either obtaining the fossils is too much of a hassle, or the fossil recreator thing is super far into the game, so I've never used a fossil pokemon in-game. And oh yeah, sure, I'll rate them as well.

Aerodactyl: Great design. I've always been sort of unclear on if all ancient pokemon were rock types, or if that's just a function of the fossil restoration machine? I guess it makes sense that there wouldn't be as many types back then, before things evolved and differentiated, and I could see rock being one of the originals. More importantly, along with Omastar and Kabutops, this is the only non-ground/rock rock-type in the game. Although, further questions are raised by the Ruins of Alph including images of Omanyte, Kabuto, and Aerodactyl in them. Those are clearly made by like an ancient civilization, but not something from dinosaur times. Pokelore is not very strong.
