Pokemon Stadium Announcer: WOW TOOK HIM DOWN WITH ONE HIT WOWWWWWW IT'S A ONE-HIT WONDER WOW DIZZY PUNCH THAT'S A GOOD HIT OOOOOHHHHHHH IT'S DOWN RIDE THAT SURF DOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWN THAT DIDN'T TAKE MUCH WOW THAT POKEMON LOOKS STRONG. I don't want to imply that it's just the dialogue that makes this guy work; this VA is really good at injecting emotion into his voice, but it doesn't sound quite like a real sports announcer. I really like this guy, he's one of the main things I remember about this game, even though I would have known exactly what he would sound like even if I didn't play.

Wulfric: Look, I'm not going to sugarcoat it: I love when anime characters do this thing where they wear their jackets on their shoulders and let the sleeves hang off. It's the stupidest, most badass thing in the world, and I am 100% onboard with it. I like how he has all this exposed skin to indicate how badass he is in the cold. Pure aesthetics, but I like him anyway.

Primeape Goes Bananas: I actually like videos of gorillas wearing human hats, and they understand the concept of hats, so this is less stupid than it seems. It's funny that Ash even caught a Primeape, though, which is why they wrote Primeape out of the show, I think it's the first pokemon Ash loses? Because he gives it to a guy to train, then never comes back ever. Ash only catches a few varities of pokemon, those being the easily marketable cute, badass, or weird ones, the 'face' pokemon of their generations. Primeape was never the heroic type of pokemon, which has to be why they wrote it out so quickly. Primeape also doesn't really look like a primeate, so the banana pun is weak.

Shedinja: What a bizarre evolution method. Anyway, Shedinja has one of the most interesting gimmicks of any pokemon. Not necessarily good, but definitely interesting. I approve of it. It apparently loses to Misty in the anime, imagine losing to Misty.

The Legend of Miniryu (Safari Zone Banned Episode): It's insane that one season of Pokemon has two banned episodes. Anyway, this episode is banned because one scene briefly features a realistic revolver, but it's a moment that can't be removed, so they just cut the episode. It's not an unimportant episode, too, this is where Ash catches an entire herd of Tauros. It's also important to mention how Clint Eastwood (the warden of the Safari Zone just looks like him for no reason) pulls out his gun for no reason. Ash, a ten-year-old child, asks why he should be quiet, and he just pulls out a gun and points it at his head. What a psychopath. He does this all to protect a Dratini, because back then the anime treated dragons as special and unique. Imagine the writer of this episode later learning Ash would just have a Dragonite.

Crasher Wake: Look, I'll level with you. I have always hated wrestling aesthetics. No offensive to anyone who likes wrestling, I'm fine with you enjoying it, but even as a kid, I disliked that Much Lucha cartoon just because of the aesthetics of the costumes. Crasher Wake is also just such a filler gym leader. Like in the new game, Kofu is also a water leader who's a big old guy, and he and Brassius are pure filler, whereas the others all at least have a gimmick. None are as good as Larry, though. I want a Pokemon game where you just are Larry.

Pokemon Wonder: I cannot conceive of how you could make a Pokemon theme park and not name it the Safari Zone. It wouldn't even occur to me to name it anything else except the Safari Zone. Anyway, look, here's the thing. One day, robots will be good enough to imitate pokemon, and you'll buy your kid a working Jigglypuff or whatever. On that day, a Pokemon theme park where you 'catch' robot pokemon will be a great idea. Until then, nope.
