Topic	What does western rpgs and jrpgs could learn from each others?

They're probably not actually more complex, but they tend to come with more bells and whistles that make things fun to explore. Traditional WRPGs often just stick to some form of D20 thing that gives me a pretty plain and boring feeling. So I'd like it if that part improved. I'd like for both genres but JRPGs in particular to have more lasting outcomes from quests. WRPGs are a lot better at that.
