If you're ever in the state, take the long drive between San Fran and LA and San Diego and you'll realize just how many poor rural shanty towns exist in that state, populated largely by minorities that can't afford to live in the cities. Now, population density is a thing, so I'm not going to claim that most of the people in the state are conservative, but that's usually the dividing line. --- "History Is Much Like An Endless Waltz.
