I know this is a popular "gotcha" but it's been long debunked. The Mc Donald's which was sued was warned multiple times that their coffee maker exceeded safe temperatures. The woman who spilled coffee on herself suffered 3rd degree burns, meaning the coffee was practically at a boiling point.
