A "friend" of mine from college named Alyssa (I fucking hated her, but she was good friends with my housemates, so I had to put up with her bullshit).

This sociopath literally lied about being diagnosed with fucking breast cancer our senior year. She even had my housemates on multiple occasions skipping class to drive her over an hour to supposed "doctor's appointments" and "chemo treatments" and wait in the car for hours because she wasn't sure she was going to have the energy to drive herself back after. And my dumbass housemates bought in completely without question, and threw a huge shitstorm when I pointed out that she was lying to them for the attention and it made me sick because I had lost my aunt to breast cancer just a few years earlier.

After about 4 months of supposed "chemo therapy" where she looked completely the same as always, with no loss of hair or fatigue or any visible signs whatsoever that she was going through one of the most grueling medical treatments known, she finally came clean and admitted it was all a lie. The housemates forgave her instantly, and not a single one of them (including Alyssa) ever apologized for the way they treated me when I called her out on her bullshit. In fact, they were STILL PISSED OFF AT ME FOR NOT BELIEVING HER ORIGINALLY.

I have not spoken with any of them since college. Fuck them all, and I still hope Alyssa has had a miserable life.
