If it makes you feel better, last cat that passed of mine lived to 20, wifes mother in law had a siamese reach 21. You still may have another solid 5-6 years left at least, they are resilient little buggers.

I used to be the "Dont get a new pet after one passes for a while" guy but that changed over the year. A new cat won't replace your friend, but it will help with the healing process while making a new buddy. I've found that sitting and dwelling vs getting a new cat shortly after, the new pet helps. It's something to consider.
