Just attack until thing he hittin' is dead. Speaking of berserkers, rei from breath of fire 3 is a good one. Once you meet back up with him after the timeskip, you learn that holy shit, he has a weretiger transformation. The thing is, when you use the transformation rei will slowly lose control of himself as the battle goes on, and not only that he will continually grow stronger as well. This dude CAN one shot you, lol. There is a way to get around it though.....you have to use the influence enemy skill on another party member to get him to target who you want to hit. Something I did not quite get as a 15 year old dumbass at the time lol.
