I just get a government invitation for every election I am eligible to vote in and can then vote at any polling place within a set region. Dikitain posted... Getting arrested? That is why providing ID for something is considered such an egregious act in our country. There isn't a history of it being a requirement. Change is not necessarily a bad thing. Dikitain posted... The exception is if you are doing something that requires a license (driving, flying, boating, buying a controlled substance, etc.), then you need to be able to prove, when asked, you are who you say you are. Otherwise, you don't need to provide such identification. That is not identification, that is legitimation.
